In Their Element

"In Their Element" features women empowered in their work, their families, in the world, and in themselves. Seattle-based photographer Shaya Bendix Lyon brilliantly captures eight women empowered and in their element – tranquil and fierce, alone and together, in focused stillness and lost in a blur – who have a larger-than-life presence in this series of portraits.
