As an artist who works with sound and not visuals, and who works behind the scenes more often than in front of them, it is such an incredible challenge to figure out a way to represent oneself visually that is true to the art... the person... etc. It can be such a challenge (esp as a woman) that sometimes it's easier to just hide behind text or put on a persona or what have you.
